Job summary

Zenith Systems seeks an Audio Video Estimator to join our team. The estimator will prepare cost estimates for audiovisual projects, ensuring proposals meet client requirements and budgets. Strong background in construction estimating and AV system installation is expected.

Responsibilities include reading bid documents, collaborating with project managers and vendors, and presenting detailed cost estimates. Travel to job sites is required; CTS/CTS-D is a plus.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience in construction estimating.
• Experience in audiovisual or low-voltage industry preferred.
• Strong knowledge of audio video systems design and implementation.
• Ability to read technical drawings and specifications.
• Willingness to travel to various job sites.

Responsibilities

• Read bid documents, schematics, blueprints, and specs to define scope.
• Review SOWs to ensure completeness of estimated materials and labor.
• Develop cost estimates with project teams for AV projects.
• Research suppliers and vendors for competitive pricing.
• Prepare detailed cost estimates including labor, materials, and overhead.
• Identify risks and value engineering options to save costs.
• Present estimates and respond to client questions.
• Participate in pre-bid and post-bid meetings with contractors.
• Apply knowledge of audio, video, and control signal flow.
