Job summary

AVI-SPL in Broadview Heights, OH, seeks a Senior Design Engineer to translate customer needs into innovative AV system designs and thorough documentation. You will collaborate with sales and Account Managers to capture requirements, assess risks, and communicate with stakeholders.

In this role, you will lead complex design projects, mentor junior engineers, and drive design standards across the team while delivering feasible, customer-aligned solutions that support business goals.

Qualifications

• Strong understanding of AV industry trends and standards.
• Experience mentoring junior engineers and leading design reviews.
• Able to translate customer requirements into clear, build-ready designs.

Responsibilities

• Lead pre-sales design and proposals.
• Develop detailed system documentation including BOMs and diagrams.
• Coordinate with vendors, architects, and contractors during design development.
• Review designs with junior engineers to ensure adherence to standards.
• Provide design authority during project execution and hand-off.
