From classrooms to control centers, we design and deliver the systems that power smarter, more connected workplaces – and it all starts with the people who make them possible. FORTÉ (formerly AVI Systems) is a 100% employee‑owned company with 50+ years of experience and a bold new identity.

What You'll Do:
  • Install, configure, and support audio, video, electronic communications, presentation, monitoring, and signal‑routing systems used in dedicated control room environments.
  • Complete cabling, labeling, terminations, rack integration, equipment mounting, and device connections in accordance with project standards and documentation.
  • Collaborate with Design Engineers and Project Managers to plan, integrate, test, commission, and obtain customer acceptance for assigned control room projects within established schedule and budget requirements.
  • Conduct on‑site surveys of control rooms, equipment rooms, operator positions, and related technical spaces; identify field conditions and resolve installation needs or issues.
  • Interpret system flow diagrams, rack elevations, detail drawings, floor plans, cable schedules, and other project documentation to ensure the installation is completed as designed.
  • Verify end‑to‑end audio, video, control, network, and monitoring signal paths and troubleshoot system performance issues.
  • Support testing and validation of operator consoles, Multiview displays, video walls, KVM systems, intercoms, control processors, and other mission‑critical control room technologies.
  • Document system changes, test results, open issues, and final configuration details accurately.
  • Communicate professionally with customers, project teams, and other trades while serving as a technical lead on‑site.
  • Follow site safety, security, quality‑control, and change‑management requirements in operationally sensitive environments.
Ability and willingness to travel approximately 80% of the time to customer sites, including frequent overnight stays and occasional extended assignments, based on project needs.
What You Bring for Success:

  • Professional communication, leadership, problem‑solving, and customer relationship skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot calmly and methodically in time‑sensitive, operationally critical environments.
  • Training in electronics and basic computer literacy through education, on‑the‑job experience, or certification is preferred.
  • AVIXA CTS or CTS‑I certification is preferred.
