Job summary

Lucid Motors in Michigan is hiring a hands-on Autonomous Driving features engineer. You will own system requirements, design architectures, and drive integration from concept through validation, collaborating across perception, planning, controls, and safety teams.

You will define acceptance criteria, build test strategies, and work with data and simulation to improve L2+/L4 features, including ODD and safety analyses while aligning with ISO standards.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, automotive, aerospace, or computer engineering, or related discipline; 6+ years of relevant engineering experience in ADAS/autonomy.
• Experience taking a feature through requirements, architecture, integration, and verification with traceable decisions.
• Proficient in Python or C++ and interpreting logs from vehicle systems.
• Familiarity with ISO 26262 and ISO 21448/SOTIF concepts.

Responsibilities

• Own the systems definition and delivery of driving features: use cases, ODD, and acceptance criteria.
• Decompose objectives into functional, performance, and safety requirements; manage interfaces and dependencies.
• Define verification strategies across simulation, HIL, and on-road testing; link requirements to test methods.
• Collaborate with perception, localization, planning, controls, embedded software, and vehicle integration teams.
• Drive root-cause analysis and regression coverage across releases.
