Job summary

Occasional local telecommuting is permitted, with opportunities to lead projects through the full lifecycle.

You will mentor engineers, contribute to CI/CD pipelines in Linux, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to advance autonomous flight capabilities.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in Aerospace Engineering, Robotics, CS, or related field.
• Five years of experience in aerospace/robotics/autonomous flight domains.
• Experience with robotics perception and state estimation for navigation.
• Experience with autonomous aerial vehicle controllers.
• Proficiency in C++ and Python; ROS.
• Experience with Linux, CI/CD (GitLab or similar) and software development lifecycle.
• Sensor integration (lidar, cameras, GPS, gimbals) into flight systems.
• Ability to lead teams and mentor engineers; travel about six times per year.

Responsibilities

• Implement mathematical models for mission plan execution (behaviour trees and state machines).
• Design and implement perception and state estimation for vehicle navigation.
• Develop autonomous aerial vehicle controllers and sensor integration.
• Set up CI/CD pipelines and develop in Linux environments; field test systems.
