Job summary

Caterpillar is hiring a Senior Autonomy Engineer in Mossville, IL to lead systems development and testing across engineering disciplines, with emphasis on safety and performance in mining/construction machines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Robotics, Electrical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Mining/Construction Industry experience required.
• Software Engineer with requirements experience.
• Up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities

• Lead systems development and testing across multiple engineering disciplines focusing on safety and performance.
• Champion functional safety (FuSa) and SOTIF in new designs and processes.
• Develop machine safety systems with documentation, design, coding, validation and validation.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate hardware and software solutions and manage system requirements.
• Operate HIL benches and manage tasks using Azure DevOps.
