Job summary

SRC, Inc. is actively seeking a Principal Aerospace Engineer with an autonomous systems background to lead advanced development for unmanned platforms. The role emphasizes integration of sensors, communications, and flight control within DoD programs.

The candidate will contribute to research, development, and deployment of new sensor technologies, leveraging MATLAB/STK and other tools, while coordinating across government, military, and contractor teams. A Top Secret/SCI clearance is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Aerospace Engineering or related aerial autonomous systems background.
• 10+ years of development experience in aerospace/autonomous systems.
• Active Top Secret / SCI security clearance (or eligible).
• Experience with flight mechanics, autonomy sensors, and simulation tools (MATLAB/STK).
• Ability to present technical information to government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Delivery systems development and trajectory analysis for autonomous platforms.
• Design, develop, and evaluate autonomous systems across sensor and comms suites.
• Assess performance using modeling, simulation, and test data to improve range and accuracy.
• Ensure platform integration between sensors, communications, and host aircraft.
• Support R&D and fielding of new sensor technologies from concept to prototype.
