Job summary

SRC, Inc. is seeking a Principal Aerospace Engineer with an autonomous systems background to lead unmanned aerial systems development in support of DoW programs.

The role emphasizes end-to-end integration, sensor fusion, and flight-vehicle platform optimization, with emphasis on TRL progression and fielding readiness. Ideal candidates hold a BS in Aerospace Engineering with 10+ years of development experience, plus TS/SCI clearance.

Qualifications

• 10+ years of development experience in aerial autonomous systems.
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (or eligible).
• Proficiency in flight mechanics and autonomous sensors integration with MAT-LAB/STK.
• Experience supporting platform integration activities and system engineering functions.
• Strong written and verbal communication for technical deliverables to government stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Delivery systems development; weapon performance optimization; platform integration & trajectory analysis.
• Design, develop, and evaluate autonomous systems across sensor and communications systems and ground control stations.
• Assess aerial platform performance using modeling, simulation, and empirical data to improve range and reliability.
• Perform platform integration to ensure sensor/communication compatibility with host aircraft.
• Contribute to R&D and integration of new sensor technologies from concept to fielding.
