Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) seeks a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, lead a team, and raise customer care and satisfaction at our automotive service locations.

You'll work with brake, hydraulics, exhaust, ignition, suspension, A/C and computer systems, with a flat-rate pay structure and eligibility for ASE certifications. A valid driver’s license and ASE readiness within two years are required; company-supported training and benefits apply.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver's license at all times.
• Experience with brakes, hydraulics, steering, suspension, and alignments.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• 3 years of automotive repair experience or completion of Vocational-Technical School Program.
• ASE certification in A1-A8 (L1 acceptable).

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brakes and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1 – A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail. Technicians receive bonus for each test passed)
