Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in the United States seeks a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team to improve customer care and satisfaction.

The role emphasizes staying current with automotive tech, obtaining or maintaining ASE certifications, and performing accurate diagnostics across brake, electrical, suspension, A/C, and computer systems.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid automobile driver's license at all times and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Skill in brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering & suspension and alignments.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.
• 3 years of automotive repair experience; vocational training acceptable if accompanied by certification.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications: brake/hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension/alignments, A/C and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through ongoing paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
