Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in the United States seeks a Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while using leadership and mentoring to drive a team toward higher customer care and satisfaction. The role offers a competitive flat-rate pay model and paid formal training.

Responsibilities include diagnosing repairs, explaining findings to customers, and maintaining ASE certifications. A valid driver’s license and ASE goals within two years are required.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license required and ability to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Brakes and hydraulics systems and/or steering, suspension and alignments skills.
• General automotive maintenance and tire repair skills.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Aclear and explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment.
