Job summary

AutoNation seeks a Senior Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance to dealer and factory standards, while building customer trust in AutoNation as a care-giver for vehicle safety and reliability.

You will diagnose issues, perform repairs, conduct safety inspections, and document all work while staying current with factory bulletins. Growth paths include Master-Certified Technician and Service management within a nationwide retailer.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Automotive technical training or equivalent experience preferred.
• Attention to detail and strong organizational skills.
• Valid in-state driver’s license with clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Perform vehicle repair and maintenance per repair order, to dealership and factory standards.
• Regularly communicate with Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs as authorized by the customer.
• Conduct multi-point inspections and recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintain inventory of tools not normally inventoried by Service as “special tools.”
• Stay current with factory bulletins and participate in training classes.
