Job summary

AutoNation seeks a Master Technician to perform vehicle repair and maintenance per dealer and factory standards, building customer trust and loyalty. You will communicate with Parts and Service Advisors, diagnose issues, and conduct multi-point inspections to ensure safety and reliability.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
• Automotive technical training (varies by store).
• Valid in-state driver’s license and clean driving record.

Responsibilities

• Performing vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order, with efficiency and accuracy.
• Communicating with the Parts Department and Service Advisors regularly to manage production and customer communication.
• Diagnosing the cause of malfunctions and performing repairs as authorized by the customer.
• Conducting multi-point inspections to recommend safety and reliability improvements.
• Documenting work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
• Maintaining an inventory of tools not normally inventoried by the service department as special tools.
• Staying current with factory bulletins and participating in factory training classes.
