Qualifications

• Must have the ability to diagnose drivability and electrical systems.
• Strong communication skills to explain diagnoses to non-technical customers.
• Maintain current automotive knowledge through ongoing formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• A.S.E. certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within two years; tests paid by company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, electrical, suspension, A/C, and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to customers clearly.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certifications; company covers tests and registration fees; bonuses for tests passed.
