Job summary

Bridgestone America, Inc. is seeking a Senior Technician at our BSRO network to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while mentoring a team toward higher service quality. The role emphasizes leadership, training, and delivering precise repairs.

You will stay updated with evolving automotive tech, obtain ASE credentials, and contribute to a culture of safety and quality. A valid driver’s license and solid repair background are essential.

Qualifications

  • Valid driver's license at all times.
  • Experience in brakes and hydraulics systems or steering & suspension.
  • Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
  • Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
  • Reading, writing and math skills.
  • 3 years automotive repair experience or vocational-technical training.
  • ASE certification in at least one of A1-A8 (L1 acceptable)

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
  • Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
  • Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
  • Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
  • Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment (Tests and registrations fees are paid for by company pass or fail).
