Job summary

Bridgestone Retail Operations (BSRO) in Concord, CA is seeking an Automotive Senior Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems while leading a team toward improved customer care. The role offers a flat-rate pay model and opportunities for ASE certification through company funding.

The position requires ASE certifications in A1–A8 within two years, strong diagnostic skills, and the ability to communicate with customers.

Qualifications

• Must have a valid driver’s license at all times.
• Demonstrated skill in brakes & hydraulics and/or steering & suspension.
• Skilled in general automotive maintenance & tire repair.
• Current federal, state and local certification/license where applicable.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications — brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with rapidly changing automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians/mechanics in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1–A8 within first two years of employment.
