Job summary

Bridgestone Americas seeks a Senior Technician in Westland, MI to diagnose drivability and electrical systems, lead a team, and mentor peers for improved customer care. A sign-on bonus of $3,000 is available and ASE certification progress is encouraged.

The role offers flat-rate pay, earned per completed task, with pay range of $24.15–$38.44 per hour. Training, benefits, and career growth are integral to this team-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Must have valid driver’s license and be able to drive customer and company vehicles.
• Experience with brakes, hydraulics, steering, suspension and alignments preferred.
• Reading, writing and math skills are required.
• Ability to explain technical information to non-technical people.
• ASE certifications and ongoing training are emphasized and supported by the company.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications across brake, hydraulic, exhaust, fuel ignition, electrical, suspension, steering, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to customers in plain language.
• Stay current with automotive technology through paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Pursue ASE certifications (A1–A8) within two years; tests and fees are covered; bonus for each test passed.
