Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles with accuracy and efficiency. You will use advanced diagnostics and repair methods while ensuring all work meets MAP guidelines and manufacturer standards.

Qualifications

• Experience as automotive technician or mechanic required.
• ASE certifications acceptable in lieu of experience.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment.
• Valid driver\'s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector license or ability to obtain within 30 days where applicable.
• High school diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Perform multi-point inspections and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Perform complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explain diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals including managers, service consultants, and customers.
• Recommend services to keep the vehicle running and document in the file.
• Follow all safety procedures and report concerns to supervisor.
• Work flexible schedules, including weekends; but never Sundays.
• Adhere to Sun Auto\'s core values and company policies.
