Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Calabasas, a Sonic Automotive dealership, is seeking an Automotive Service Technician to perform repair and maintenance work per dealer and factory standards. You will supervise apprentices and participate in factory training.

Qualifications

• High CSI is a must.
• ASE or manufacturing training.
• High school diploma or the equivalent.
• Valid driver’s license and a good driving record.
• Authorized to work in the USA.
• Ability to pass pre-employment testing including background checks, MVR, drug test, and valid license.

Responsibilities

• Receive repair orders and take to stall area.
• Perform repair work as outlined on repair order to dealership and factory standards.
• Diagnose causes of malfunctions and perform repairs.
• Communicate with parts department to obtain needed parts.
• Save and tag parts if under warranty or requested by customer.
• Examine vehicle to determine if additional safety or service work is required.
• Notify service advisor if extra work is not needed or cannot be completed in time.
• Document work performed and road-test vehicles when required.
• Supervise apprentice technicians and attend factory-sponsored training.
