Job summary

Mercedes-Benz of Walnut Creek is seeking a skilled Automotive Technician to join our service team. This role diagnoses, repairs, and maintains a wide range of vehicles to manufacturer and dealership standards, delivering high-quality workmanship and customer satisfaction.

The ideal candidate has 2–5 years of experience in a franchised dealership, strong diagnostic and repair skills across electrical, engine, drivetrain, suspension, and brake systems, ASE and/or manufacturer certifications

Qualifications

• Minimum 2-5 years of automotive technician experience, preferably in a franchised dealership environment.
• Strong diagnostic, repair, and maintenance skills across electrical, engine, drivetrain, suspension, and brake systems.
• ASE certifications and/or manufacturer-specific certifications are preferred; willingness to pursue additional training and certifications required.
• Ability to efficiently perform repairs while consistently meeting flat-rate productivity and quality standards.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles.
• Accurately diagnose mechanical, electrical, and performance issues.
• Complete repair orders clearly and efficiently, documenting all work performed.
• Perform warranty repairs in accordance with manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain productivity and efficiency goals set by the service department.
• Use diagnostic tools and equipment to identify problems.
• Communicate with service advisors regarding recommended repairs and timelines.
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards.
• Stay up to date with manufacturer training and certifications.
