Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles with precision. You will use your expertise to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs while ensuring all work meets MAP guidelines and company standards.

This role offers a strong pay range of $30.00–$45.00 per hour, depending on experience and certifications, plus a comprehensive benefits package including medical, dental, vision, life insurance, 401(k) with company match, paid vacation

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications may replace experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver’s license.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector license or ability to obtain within 30 days (where applicable).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals (Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers).
• Recommends services that are necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports any concerns to direct supervisor.
• Ability to work flexible schedules, including weekends as needed (but never Sundays).
• Adheres to Sun Auto’s core values, all company policies and procedures.
