Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician in Mobile, AL to diagnose, repair and service vehicles to factory standards. You will work with qualified technicians and communicate findings clearly to customers and staff.

Responsibilities include performing inspections, complex repairs, and documenting recommendations. The role requires a valid driver’s license, MVR screening, and flexibility for Monday–Saturday shifts.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications in lieu of experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver’s license in the work State; out-of-state licenses must be transferred within 30 days.
• Must be deemed an eligible driver through an MVR screening.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certifications/experience.
• Performs work per Multi-point Inspection/Repair Order with accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnosis and needed repairs to customers and staff.
• Documents all recommendations in the customer file.
• Follows safety procedures and Sun Auto policies.
• Works a flexible schedule, Monday–Saturday.
