Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service is seeking a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair customer vehicles with precision and speed, following MAP guidelines and dealership standards. You will leverage your expertise to perform advanced diagnostics and repairs while maintaining quality and safety.

The role requires strong vehicle diagnostics, the ability to explain findings to customers and managers, and a commitment to Sun Auto’s core values.

Qualifications

• Previous automotive technician / mechanic experience required.
• ASE certifications can substitute for experience.
• Ability to demonstrate proper use of computerized equipment for diagnostics.
• Valid Driver’s license required.
• Must be at least 18 years old.
• State Inspector License or ability to obtain within 30 days of hire.
• High School Diploma or equivalent; Technical School experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to certification/experience level.
• Performs work outlined on inspection and repair orders with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains diagnoses and repairs to customers and store personnel.
• Recommends services to keep vehicles in running condition; documents recommendations.
• Adheres to safety procedures and company policies.
• Flexible schedules, including weekends as needed (but never Sundays).
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
