Job summary

Sun Auto Tire & Service, a nationwide leader in automotive services, seeks a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose and repair vehicles with accuracy and efficiency. You’ll apply advanced diagnostics and repairs to meet MAP guidelines and dealership standards, while delivering quality service.

Qualifications

• Experience as an automotive technician or mechanic is required.
• ASE certifications may substitute for experience.
• Ability to use computerized diagnostic equipment.
• State inspector license or ability to obtain within 30 days (where applicable).
• High School Diploma or equivalent; technical school preferred.

Responsibilities

• Diagnoses vehicles according to the appropriate level of certifications/experience.
• Performs work as outlined on the Multi-point Inspection and/or Repair Order with efficiency and accuracy.
• Performs complex and heavy-duty repairs.
• Explains technical diagnosis and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals which may include the Store Manager, Service Consultants and/or customers.
• Recommends services necessary to keep the customer’s vehicle in running condition; documents all recommendations.
• Follows all safety procedures and reports concerns to supervisor.
