Job summary

Bridgestone Americas, Inc. in Maryland seeks a Senior Automotive Technician to diagnose drivability and electrical systems and lead a team toward higher customer care.

Responsibilities include diagnosing and repairing brake, hydraulic, exhaust, ignition, suspension, and A/C systems; pursuing ASE certifications; and benefiting from on-the-job training with a flat-rate pay model that rewards efficiency and expertise.

Qualifications

• Must have strong brake and hydraulic systems skills and/or steering & suspension and alignments.
• Ability to communicate technical information to non-technical people.
• Reading, writing and math skills required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair to specifications - brake and hydraulic, exhaust, primary and/or advanced fuel ignition and electrical, suspension and alignment, air conditioning and computer systems.
• Adeptly explain technical diagnoses and needed repairs to non-mechanical individuals.
• Stay current with automotive technology through continuous paid formal training.
• Assist and train technicians in performing technical activities.
• Obtain or maintain ASE certifications in at least three of A1-A8 within two years (tests and fees paid by company).
