Job summary

LHH represents a client seeking a Senior Automotive Product Development Engineer to support lightweight vehicle structural solutions and collaboration with OEMs. This role focuses on translating vehicle structure requirements into manufacturable designs, performing CAE/FEA, and leading cross-functional programs with travel to customer locations.

The ideal candidate will have 5+ years in automotive product development, strong experience with body structures, and proficiency in CAD/CAE tools.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in engineering or related field.
5+ years in automotive product development or vehicle structures.
Experience with OEMs and Tier 1 suppliers is preferred.

Responsibilities

Translate customer vehicle structure requirements into optimized product and manufacturing solutions.
Conduct CAE/FEA analyses and feasibility studies to support design optimization.
Collaborate across engineering, manufacturing, quality, and program management during development and launch.
Manage multiple programs and deliver to milestones with cross-functional teams.
Develop technical presentations and communicate recommendations to customers and leadership.
Build relationships with OEMs and Tier 1 partners, supporting continuous improvement.
