Job summary

LaFontaine Buick GMC of Ann Arbor is seeking an experienced Automotive Service Technician to repair and maintain vehicles per dealer and factory standards. Expertise in engine repair, steering and suspension, brakes, HVAC, and electrical systems is required.

You will diagnose issues, order and verify parts, perform road tests, and ensure safety and quality while maintaining a professional appearance and strong customer service orientation.

Qualifications

• Michigan Mechanic Certification is required.
• Certifications in Engine Repair, Steering Suspension, Brakes, HVAC, Engine Tune-Up, and Electrical Systems.
• Ability to read and understand technical instructions.

Responsibilities

• Receive and review repair orders and perform work efficiently and accurately.
• Diagnose causes of vehicle malfunctions and complete authorized repairs.
• Coordinate with Parts Department for components.
• Tag and return parts for warranty or customer requests.
• Inform service advisors of additional work or delays.
• Document work performed and perform road tests to confirm quality.
