Job summary

Carlex Glass America, LLC seeks a Quality Compliance Specialist to ensure adherence to IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 across the plant in Nashville. You will lead production documentation development (Control Plans, DVP&R, PFMEA) and support PPAP requirements.

The role requires 3+ years in manufacturing quality, an IATF Internal Auditor certification, and a strong Lean/Six Sigma background. Travel to assembly plants may be required; effective cross-functional collaboration is essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, or another technical field is required (or equivalent).
• High school diploma with 8+ years of manufacturing quality experience required.
• IATF Internal Auditor certification required.
• IATF Lead Auditor certification preferred.
• 3+ years quality experience in manufacturing with undergraduate degree; 8+ years with HS diploma.
• Core Tools training or willingness to complete within first year.

Responsibilities

• Maintain plant compliance with IATF 16949:2016 and ISO 9001:2015 standards.
• Lead development of production documentation to PPAP requirements (Control Plans, DVP&R, PFMEA, Standardized Work).
• Monitor warranty data and supplier PPAP files; respond accordingly.
• Oversee evaluation of process audits and finished product inspections for quality and reliability.
• Develop internal quality control standards with Corporate Quality and the Quality Manager.
• Ensure quality systems and procedures are maintained and used by all associates.
• Communicate significant quality issues across all levels of the company.
• Develop and maintain partnerships with customers and suppliers.
• Work with plant teams to address day-to-day issues and improve product and process quality.
• Occasional travel to assembly plants to review products and interact with customer personnel.
• Maintain knowledge of testing, reporting, and recordkeeping requirements under FMVSS-205, ECE R43, CCC, and other country regulations.
