Job summary

Carlex Glass Manufacturing in Indiana seeks a Quality Manager to lead plant quality with a strong focus on process control and customer satisfaction. You will drive PFMEA refresh, PPAP evidence, and control‑plan maintenance, while ensuring compliance with IATF‑16949:2024 and ISO 9001:2024 across the facility.

You will travel occasionally to assembly plants, and you will partner with Corporate Quality to refine internal standards and resolve day‑to‑day quality issues.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree required or 8+ years of quality experience in manufacturing.
• IATF Internal Auditor certification required.
• Recent Core Tools training or willingness to complete within first year.

Responsibilities

• Champion and uphold the Carlex Quality Policy across the plant.
• Maintain facility compliance with IATF-16949:2024 and ISO 9001:2024.
• Own creation and maintenance of production documentation to PPAP standards: Control Plans, DVP&R, PFMEA, and Standardized Work.
• Monitor customer-supplied warranty performance and supplier PPAP files; drive timely responses.
• Oversee process audits and finished‑goods inspections.
• Partner with Corporate Quality and the Quality Manager to develop and evolve internal plant quality control standards.
• Ensure quality systems and procedures are sustained and used by all associates.
• Communicate major quality concerns clearly at all levels of the organization.
• Build partnership‑style relationships with customers and suppliers.
• Collaborate with plant teams to resolve day‑to‑day issues and elevate product and process quality.
• Travel occasionally to assembly plants to review product and work face‑to‑face with customer personnel.
• Apply knowledge of FMVSS‑205, ECER43, CCC, and country regulations.
