Job summary

Garmin Ltd. in the United States is seeking a full-time Lead Project Manager Engineering - Automotive to lead the largest and most complex engineering projects, develop and execute project plans, and report status.

You will mentor other project managers, drive process improvements, and collaborate across business units with a willingness to travel internationally and work outside core hours as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in a technical discipline with relevant PM experience or equivalent
• Proven track record leading complex product development or major concept projects
• Strong verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills
• Team-oriented, positive attitude, ability to collaborate across groups
• Excellent time management and prioritization to deliver high-quality results
• Experience managing multiple projects and balancing scope and schedule

Responsibilities

• Lead the largest and most complex engineering projects across modules/sub-projects
• Create and execute project plans and deliver status reports
• Mentor and develop less-experienced Project Managers
• Drive cross-organizational process improvements and risk mitigation
• Communicate effectively with stakeholders and management
• Travel internationally as required and coordinate across time zones
• Lead audits and ensure compliance with standards where applicable
• Mentor teams to deliver high-quality, on-time results
