Job summary

Toyota in Georgetown, KY is seeking a Seibi T/D Technician to lead quality development for new model plastic injection mold and equipment processes. You will ensure KPI achievement before hand-off to NAMCs, reporting to the Process Engineering Manager, and supporting launch of high-quality components.

You’ll assist in trials, mold/equipment prep, supplier reviews, and knowledge transfer. A technical degree and ability to travel up to 50% are required, with opportunities for professional growth

Qualifications

• Experience in new model launch for automotive manufacturing.
• Experience in ECI implementation on Plastics Molds.
• Experience with IMM/TIM molding equipment and injection molding/processing/tooling.
• Experience with soft IP processes and equipment such as slush or trim.
• Willing to travel up to 50% and internationally (Canada, Japan, etc.).
• Technical degree or higher.

Responsibilities

• Provide hands-on support of new model mold and equipment preparation and trials.
• Identify injection mold/equipment problems and implement countermeasures.
• Lead installation activities related to plastics equipment/processes and robot teaching.
• Coordinate trial activities and assist NAMCs as needed.
• Assist in specification reviews and vendor trials for new equipment.
• Support standardized work development, team training, and quality control plan documentation.
• Support engineering, manufacturing activities, and reporting.
