Job summary

General Motors Company is seeking a Senior Software Engineer to drive Linux kernel and driver development for automotive platforms. You will lead bring-up, BSP work, and low-level integration with hardware teams to ensure reliable infotainment and embedded systems.

Join a cross-functional team focused on diagnostics, health monitoring, and performance optimization across SoC and peripheral interfaces, including camera pipelines and networking protocols.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in electrical engineering or related field or work equivalent experience.
3+ years embedded Linux kernel development and device driver programming experience.
Strong knowledge of Linux kernel internals, memory management, scheduling, and IPC.

Responsibilities

Develop and enhance Linux kernel and device drivers for automotive systems.
Lead system bring-up including bootloader config and BSP development.
Diagnose, debug, and optimize low-level software with hardware teams.
