Cognizant is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of business applications through automation, API, and manual testing. You will work with onshore and offshore teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role emphasizes automated end-to-end testing with Selenium and Playwright, API testing, and strong collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

• 7+ years of hands-on automated functional testing experience.
• Experience with API testing and validating service integrations.
• Strong ability to design manual test cases, test plans and scenarios.

About the role

As a Senior Automation Test Engineer - Selenium & Playwright, you will make an impact by ensuring the quality and reliability of business applications through automation, API, and manual testing. You will collaborate with onshore and offshore development, product, and quality engineering teams to deliver high-quality solutions in an Agile environment.

In this role, you will:

• Maintain and execute automated end-to-end test scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
• Design comprehensive test plans, test scenarios, and manual test cases based on business and functional requirements.
• Perform API, smoke, regression, integration, and user acceptance testing.
• Identify, document, and track defects through the complete defect lifecycle.
• Maintain test results, coverage reports, regression suites, and other testing documentation.
• Collaborate with onshore and offshore development and product teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Participate in Agile ceremonies, including daily stand-ups, backlog refinement, sprint planning, and retrospectives.
• Contribute to the continuous improvement of QA processes, automation frameworks, and testing practices.

What you need to have to be considered
