Job summary

Cognizant is seeking a Senior Automation Test Engineer to ensure the quality and reliability of business applications through automation, API, and manual testing. You will work with onshore and offshore teams in an Agile environment to deliver high-quality solutions.

The role emphasizes automated end-to-end testing with Selenium and Playwright, API testing, and strong collaboration across distributed teams.

Qualifications

7+ years of hands-on automated functional testing experience.
Experience with API testing and validating service integrations.
Strong ability to design manual test cases, test plans and scenarios.
Familiarity with defect tracking and software testing lifecycle.
Experience in Agile or Scrum delivery environments.

Responsibilities

Maintain and execute automated end-to-end test scripts using Selenium and Playwright.
Design comprehensive test plans, scenarios and manual test cases.
Perform API, smoke, regression, integration and user acceptance testing.
Document, track and close defects through lifecycle.
Maintain test results, coverage reports and regression suites.
Collaborate with distributed teams to understand requirements and acceptance criteria.
Participate in Agile ceremonies and contribute to QA process improvements.
