Job summary

Amgen is seeking a Senior Manufacturing Systems Engineer to lead automation engineering for the new drug substance plant. You will build and maintain DeltaV control systems, work with process SMEs and QA to ensure validated, compliant automation solutions, and drive continuous improvements in a GMP environment.

You’ll collaborate with capital projects, manage IV/ACO activities, and provide on-site support for manufacturing operations, instrumentation, and spares.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and 4+ years of experience in engineering.
• Strong knowledge of DeltaV DCS and process automation in GMP environments.
• Experience with validation and compliance (21 CFR Part11, GMP).

Responsibilities

• Lead automation engineering initiatives for drug substance plant operations.
• Develop and maintain DeltaV control systems and IV/ACO support.
• Collaborate with SMEs and QA to ensure compliant validation.
• Provide on-site 24x7 operational support and change controls.
