Job summary

WorkLLama in Pennsylvania seeks an experienced Automation Scientist to drive end-to-end Omics data generation through automated workflows, DNA/RNA processing, and PCR setups on automated liquid handlers.

You will configure and troubleshoot TECAN and Hamilton platforms, support Illumina-based NGS workflows, and document results while collaborating with cross-functional teams in a fast-paced research environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree with 8+ years of industry experience, or Master's with 6+ years, or PhD with 4+ years.
• Hands-on DNA and RNA workflows experience required.
• Experience with automated PCR using liquid handlers.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end Omics data generation workflows using high-throughput automation.
• Perform DNA and RNA processing, preparation, and analysis activities.
• Design, execute, and optimize PCR workflows with automated liquid handling.
• Operate, troubleshoot, and program TECAN and Hamilton systems.
• Support NGS workflows using Illumina platforms.
• Maintain accurate lab documentation, notebooks, and data records.
• Collaborate with scientists and engineers to improve workflows.
• Ensure safety and quality standards in all activities.
