Job summary

DEVELOP LLC in Verona, Wisconsin, seeks an engineer to write and test machine code for automated manufacturing systems. You will collaborate with mechanical, electrical, and assembly teams to ensure software and hardware operate in harmony on real-world machines.

The role centers on active testing, troubleshooting, and iterative improvements to ensure production-ready systems are reliable in field deployments.

Qualifications

• Degree in computer engineering, computer science, electrical engineering, or a related field.
• 1-2 years’ experience programming using ladder logic or structured text.
• Experience using Git version control.
• Understanding of how to define and test technical requirements.
• Comfortable working around machines, tools, and shop environments.

Responsibilities

• Design flow charts covering normal operation and error handling.
• Review and write code to ensure it functions before running on the machine.
• Coordinate with mechanical and electrical to synchronize hardware and software.
• Test the machines to ensure they meet requirements.
