Job summary

Berry Appleman & Leiden (BAL) is seeking an Automation Test Engineer to design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web applications and backend data validation using Playwright and TypeScript.

You will collaborate with the QA Lead to enhance automated GUI tests and develop scripts that cover regression flows across front end, APIs, and data layers. BAL offers a generous benefits package and a supportive, team-oriented culture.

Qualifications

• Experience designing and executing automated tests for web applications and backend data validation.
• Familiarity with GUI test automation using custom frameworks is a plus.
• Ability to design test strategies to maximize coverage across Front End, API, and data layers.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated testing frameworks for web apps and backend data validation using Playwright and TypeScript.
• Collaborate with QA Lead to enhance and maintain automated GUI tests within the existing framework.
• Develop automation scripts to validate key regression flows across Front End, APIs and Data validations.
• Implement automated checks for data completeness and format validation, cross-referencing with expected results.
• Contribute to comprehensive automation test strategies to maximize test coverage.
• Analyze requirements, design test scenarios, and provide feedback to improve product quality.
• Collaborate with DevOps teams to integrate automated testing into the CI/CD pipeline.
