Job summary

NTT DATA seeks a Senior Automation QA Engineer (Java/Selenium) to join our Irving, Texas team. You will design, implement, and maintain automated test suites for web and enterprise applications, driving quality through robust CI/CD integration and QA best practices.

The role requires 5+ years in QA and hands-on automation with Java and Selenium, plus experience in automated framework development and Pega/Playwright is a plus.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience in Software Quality Assurance.
• 5+ years of hands-on automation testing experience using Java and Selenium.
• Proven experience developing and executing QA strategies for complex enterprise applications.
• Strong knowledge of software testing methodologies, test planning, defect management, and QA best practices.
• Experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks, including BDD-driven UI automation.
• Experience integrating automated testing into CI/CD pipelines.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain automated test solutions using Java and Selenium.
• Develop and execute comprehensive test strategies for web applications and enterprise software.
• Establish and promote QA standards, testing processes, and best practices across both manual and automated testing.
• Collaborate with Product Management, Engineering, and Operations teams to define quality objectives, test strategies, and release readiness.
• Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines to support continuous delivery.
• Analyze test results, identify defects, and work closely with development teams to resolve issues.
• Track and report quality metrics, testing progress, and release risks to stakeholders.
• Continuously identify opportunities to improve test coverage, automation, and overall software quality throughout the development lifecycle.
