Job summary

Delta ModTech is seeking a Senior Technical Operations Manager to lead Project Managers, Process Engineers, and technicians in delivering complex, low-volume automation machinery. You will bridge engineering, production, supply chain, and customer-facing functions to ensure safe, on-time, on-budget execution with high quality standards.

The role requires leadership, strategic thinking, and strong financial acumen, with travel less than 10%. Normal office environment; full-time exempt position.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical or electrical engineering or related technical field.
• 8+ years of experience in custom machinery design and build or automation environments.
• 5+ years of experience in project management, with supervisory responsibility.
• P&L responsibilities and financial goal ownership.
• Proven ability to manage complex, low-volume, engineer-to-order projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead project management and technician groups to execute complex custom machinery projects from receipt of order to installation.
• Oversee multiple concurrent automation projects ensuring they meet scope, schedule, cost, and quality objectives.
• Manage resources, forecast labor, and support hiring decisions to optimize throughput.
• Drive continuous improvement, standardization of build practices, and documentation quality.
