Job summary

PCI Pharma Services is seeking a Project Engineer III – Drug Delivery in Rockford, IL to lead high-impact engineering projects from initiation through commercialization. You will oversee design transfer, scale-up in drug delivery platforms, and collaborate with regulators, quality, manufacturing and business development to ensure on-time delivery.

Qualifications

• Requires a Bachelor’s degree in engineering and 10+ years of project engineering, manufacturing, and device design in regulated industries.
• Strong design transfer, process optimization, and risk mitigation capabilities are expected.
• Excellent verbal and written communication to lead and influence cross-functional teams.
• Proficiency with MS Project, AutoCAD, SAP, Excel and other PM tools is required.

Responsibilities

• Lead complex engineering projects from initiation to completion with cost, scope and schedule governance.
• Oversee design transfer and industrialization for drug delivery platforms towards scale-up.
• Perform risk assessments (FMEA, pFMEA) and drive continuous improvement.
• Mentor junior engineers and collaborate with regulatory, quality, manufacturing and business development.
