Job summary

Qualifications

• BS degree in Engineering or related technical field.
• Engineer I: 10+ years automation/MES; Engineer II: 12+ years with leadership.
• Hands-on GMP MES design, config, testing and deployment experience.
• Experience with electronic batch records and master recipes in regulated manufacturing.
• Knowledge of validation and data integrity (GAMP5, 21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11).
• Experience in biopharma/biotech manufacturing environment.
• Strong communication and multi-project management skills.
• Preferred: MES-to-ERP integration (SAP) and LIMS/CMMS interfaces.

Responsibilities

• Serve as site SME for Rockwell PharmaSuite MES configuration and workflow.
• Lead design and lifecycle management of electronic batch records and master recipes.
• Convert paper master batch records to electronic execution with cross-functional partners.
• Own MES change control end-to-end (IQ/OQ/PQ, deviations, TRMs).
• Support MES architecture and interfaces to SAP, LIMS, CMMS, PI, and patient logistics systems.
• Deploy PharmaSuite MES to new and existing suites and processes.
• Ensure readiness for inspections, audits, and data integrity controls (21 CFR Part 11, EU Annex 11).
• Provide on-go-live support, operator training, and feedback-driven improvements.
• Support plant operations and after-hours GMP manufacturing support rotation.
• Develop specifications and guidelines for automation and MES systems.
• Contribute to long-range automation and digital manufacturing strategies.
• Mentor junior engineers and contractor resources.
