Job summary

Stratasys is seeking a Sr. Automation Engineer in Eden Prairie, MN, to lead automation solutions for manufacturing, testing, and calibration of products. You will drive design, validation, and deployment of production systems, while mentoring peers and ensuring safety, quality, and efficiency.

You will apply C++ and MS SQL skills, develop MES integrations, and support data‑driven improvements across R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams. Travel ~10% is required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or computer engineering or technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of applicable automation, test engineering, manufacturing engineering, controls, or related technical experience.
• Demonstrated experience leading technical projects, resolving complex production or test issues, and influencing cross‑functional stakeholders.
• Software experience in C++ and MS SQL Server databases.
• Experience with SolidWorks and Rockwell Automation platforms.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, development, validation, and deployment of manufacturing automation solutions and test applications.
• Provide senior‑level technical leadership to resolve automation performance issues.
• Develop data analysis reports to support root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Collaborate with R&D, Quality, and Operations to ensure production readiness.
