Job summary

Stratasys, a world leader in 3D printing, seeks a Sr. Automation Engineer to lead development of automation and test solutions for manufacturing and R&D environments. This senior role partners with Manufacturing, R&D, Quality, and Operations to enhance product quality, efficiency, and production readiness.

The position requires 5+ years in automation or manufacturing engineering with strong C++, MS SQL, SolidWorks, and MES integration experience. Domestic travel is expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in electrical, mechanical, manufacturing, industrial, or computer engineering or technology.
• Minimum of 5 years of automation, test engineering, manufacturing engineering, controls, or related technical experience.
• Experience leading technical projects and cross-functional collaboration.
• C++ software experience.
• MS Windows and Office experience.
• MS SQL Server databases experience.
• SolidWorks experience.
• Web- or cloud-based applications experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead design, development, validation, and deployment of manufacturing automation solutions and production systems to improve safety, quality, and productivity.
• Provide senior-level technical leadership to resolve performance, reliability, test, and defect issues.
• Develop and present statistical data analysis reports for root cause analysis and continuous improvement.
• Use SolidWorks to create/mechanically design fixtures and automation components for manufacturing operations.
• Collaborate with R&D, Manufacturing, Quality, and Operations to improve product quality and manufacturing readiness.
• Design, implement, and support MES integrations, data collection, traceability, reporting, and equipment connectivity.
