Job summary
Moderna is seeking a hands-on Automation Engineer to support the implementation, optimization, and lifecycle management of process automation systems across Moderna’s manufacturing network, with a focus on INT technology and lights-out manufacturing. This role is based in Marlborough, MA and involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy scalable, compliant automation solutions.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a technical field.
- 5–8 years in pharmaceutical/biotech.
- Understanding of smart manufacturing and ISA-95/ISA-88.
- Experience with DeltaV, PLCs, SCADA, and ERP/ODH integrations.
Responsibilities
- Implement and support automation systems across facilities.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define requirements for automation projects.
- Lead validation activities and ensure cGMP, CSV, and regulatory compliance.
- Provide lifecycle management and on-call support for automation assets.
- Lead CAPEX projects from concept through commissioning to OPEX.
