Merck & Co., Inc. in West Point, PA, is seeking a Process Automation Engineer (Specialist, Manufacturing Automation) to support digital manufacturing operations.

The role focuses on automating and maintaining DeltaV DCS, PLC, SCADA, and HMI systems within a cGMP manufacturing environment. You will troubleshoot complex automation issues, implement cost-saving improvements, and ensure regulatory compliance, with on-site/off-shift support in a hybrid work setup.

Qualificações

• BS in Engineering, Computer Science or related field with 2 years of relevant industry experience OR 4 years of relevant industry experience
• Strong technical writing capabilities
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills to interface effectively with all levels of colleagues and vendors

Responsabilidades

• Troubleshoot challenging equipment/automation issues and innovate to improve manufacturing performance
• Maintain automation systems in compliance with cGMPs through the life cycle of the equipment
• Design and implement automation strategies to improve processes and reduce costs
• Build relationships with functional counterparts to proactively resolve issues
• Support SOPs, Change Management, and System Problem Management documentation
