Job summary

Lilly is seeking a Sr. Principal Engineer - Automation Engineering to lead process control activities across site operations and capital projects. You will mentor teams, influence design decisions, and help ensure reliable, validated automation systems at the Lilly Medicines Foundry in Lebanon, Indiana.

Ideal candidates have a strong background in DeltaV/DCS, Rockwell, and MES tooling, with a track record of delivering compliant, high‑quality manufacturing solutions in biopharma environments.

Qualifications

• Minimum B.S. in Engineering or related discipline and 8+ years in Automation Engineering.
• Experience in design, development, commissioning and qualification of highly automated manufacturing sites using SCADA, DCS, PLC and MES systems.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership for process control, design, and commissioning.
• Develop and implement Automation Engineering Project Plans and standards.
• Support capital projects and ensure compliance with GMP and validation requirements.
