Job summary

U.S. Bank is seeking an Automation Engineer to design, test, implement, and support robotics process and desktop automations. The role involves creating test plans, coordinating test data, and driving performance tests to meet automation goals.

You'll lead analysis with clients and technical staff, document automation capabilities, and contribute to feasibility assessments for new automation opportunities. Prioritize collaboration and continuous learning within a dynamic team.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience.
• 5–6 years of relevant work experience with programming concepts, development logic or automating simple to medium complexity processes.
• Knowledge of data and process modeling, system and application testing, SDLC, application design and architecture.
• Proficient in Hogan Mainframe.
• Experience with automation tools - DTW/RAD/GitLab/HATs/GitGui.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills; ability to learn new technologies.

Responsibilities

• Design, scripting, testing, implementing, maintaining and modifying automations of moderate complexity, significance, and risk.
• Creates and executes performance tests to ensure expected automation performance levels.
• Writes documentation describing automation capabilities and operating procedures.
• Leads clients and technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems.
• Estimates and defines time tables and project tasks; analyzes cost and time.
