Job summary

Syncreon Consulting seeks an experienced controls engineer in Michigan to design, program, and commission PLC-based systems. Work with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000, develop HMIs (FactoryTalk Optix), read schematics, and troubleshoot field installations.

Travel to customer sites is required; daily commuting to the Pontiac, MI facility is expected to collaborate with electrical and mechanical teams. Strong problem-solving, communication, and time-management skills are essential for success

Qualifications

• Experience programming PLC-based control systems.
• Experience with Allen-Bradley PLCs and Studio 5000 / Logix Designer.
• Experience developing HMI applications.
• Familiarity with electrical controls, sensors, I/O, and instrumentation.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Understanding of PLC programming concepts such as sequencing, interlocks, alarms, fault handling, analog signals, and data handling.
• Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with electrical, mechanical, and other technical team members.
• Ability to manage priorities and work independently when needed.
• Willingness to travel for customer support and equipment commissioning.
• Ability to commute to Pontiac, MI facility on a daily basis.
