Job summary

Reynolds Consumer Products is seeking a Senior Automation Engineer to lead control system development for aluminum rolling processes. You will design PLC logic, HMI graphics, DAQ interfaces, and instrumentation, and ensure safety and regulatory compliance.

The role reports to the Electrical Engineering Manager and involves project leadership and on-site/off-site support. Relocation assistance is available; you will collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive project execution,

Qualifications

• Associate's degree in Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, Automation Engineering, or related technical field.

Responsibilities

• Design control systems following engineering practices and safety regulations.
• Develop process control schemes and PLC logic for rolling mill operations.
• Create HMI graphics and data acquisition interfaces.
• Layout control cabinets and wiring schematics for PLCs and touchscreens.
• Specify and implement DAQ systems and process instrumentation.
• Integrate and troubleshoot PC, HMI, PLC networks (TCP/IP, Ethernet, Modbus).
• Support commissioning and startup of automation equipment.
• Lead and mentor technical resources; develop engineering documents.
• Manage capital projects with lifecycle cost and RFQs.
